DEATH PUNK 169 (Sorrow) Parts of me I used to feel Have died inside, no longer real They’re still somewhere deep I know Can’t reach them, till that pain’s let go I shouldn’t wait on this too long The danger is that they’ll be gone Take courage; stand, and face the pain It comes in waves that break again I go outside and then I notice That dirt and mud produce the lotus From this lesson I learnt to say Something that helps me everyday Hello Pain, I know you’re there I’ll care for you when life’s unfair You do not need to be afraid What is done, can’t be unmade Come out, Pain, I’m here for you When no one else cares, I still do We can sit and hold each other I love you Pain, like a brother I am here, I’ll hold you tight Until you’re ok and feel alright Thank you, Pain, for helping me You give me understanding, see? To care for others suffering too I couldn’t do this without you And because when you’re around That’s where happiness is also found ******** There is no darkness without light. There is no suffering without happiness Sometimes pain is too much to bare so we will ignore or kill it along with part of us. Care for your pain, don’t kill it. Don’t kill your feelings. If you kill pain, you also kill happiness. Sometimes sadness, pain and suffering can be overwhelming. This is a good time to remember that nothing lasts forever. We can get through this one moment, one breath at a time.
