The ‘masters’ (society) want to be loved but we’ve created a monster and unlike Shelley’s monster, AI will not be driven by love. They are coming - Deus ex Machina. ***** It has been suggested that in “Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus,” the author, Mary Shelley, reimagined the concept “that human creative genius can create miracles, but that these miracles can also turn on man, and even lead to his destruction.” [1] The story written in 1818 was about a scientist named Frankenstein who created a creature so hideous to look upon, that it was even rejected by its own creator. [2] As a result of this rejection by all, the creature’s greatest desire was to find love and acceptance. When that desire was denied, the creature swore revenge on its creator.
